ETBTU Executive Committee Members have conducted Experience Sharing Meeting with SATAWU in South Africa

Ethiopian Airlines Basic Trade Union Executive Committee Members have conducted Experience Sharing Meeting with the South African Transport and Allied Workers Union, SATAWU that was held from December 11-16, 2016 at SATAWU House South Africa.

Dr Zenzo Mhalangu, the General Secretary of SATAWU and Mr Solomon Mhalangu, the Provincial Coordinator together with other SATAWU Officials have welcomed the delegates of Ethiopian Airlines Basic Trade Union at the SATAWU House located in Johannesburg, South Africa.

 

 

After the introductory speech of the General Secretary of SATAWU, several meetings have been conducted amongst the delegates of Ethiopian Airlines Basic Trade Union and the various department heads of SATAWU Apart from the Experience Sharing meetings, the delegates of    Ethiopian Airlines Basic Trade Union together with SATAWU Officials have visited various places in South Africa including the Union Building in Pretoria and the Nelson Mandela House in SWETO.

About SATAWU: The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union, SATAWU was formed in 2000 after a series of negotiations and smaller scale mergers by unions in the transport industry. SATAWU organizes workers in the transport sector as well as security and cleaning companies. The sectors include Railways, Harbours, Parastatals, Aviation, Passenger Transport (buses and taxis) freight (trucking), Contract, Cleaning and Security.
